It's the very 11th episode of Alone and Afraid!! We continue the Halloween season with the 1988 classic Halloween movie "Pumpkinhead" (and I know it doesn't take place on Halloween, per se, but it still counts, goddammit!), and 2019's killer haunted house movie "Haunt". I had a lot of fun with this episode talking about ridiculous names, bratty rich girls, why you NEVER give anybody your cell phone, and a fun little theory linking this week's monster to a previously discussed little Halloween demon. So hide your wooden crosses and don't step on that nail while you listen to this week's episode of your very favorite horror movie podcast!!

It's the very 10th episode of Alone and Afraid Podcast!!! Finally, amIright??? This week I'm talking about the new slasher recently released on Shudder called "The Furies", and taking an in depth look at the 2007 classic Halloween anthology, "Trick 'R Treat". This episode is chock-full of great topics including pants shitting, grumpy neighbors, and why I'm sick to death of a certain Marilyn Manson tune.

Hey it's the very first mini episode of Alone and Afraid podcast!! Join me as I talk about the part western / part horror film "Bone Tomahawk" and James Gunn's "Brightburn" released early this year. It's a fun forty minutes of defending Kurt Russel's youth, rants about uninformed expectations ruining films, and even a short peak behind the conception of your very favorite horror podcast! I hope this helps make up for my recent 3 week abandonment...

It's the very 9th episode of Alone and Afraid Podcast!! Please forgive my unexplained 3 week absence. You can listen to my sob story in this episode right before I review 2019's horror comedy "Satanic Panic" and John Carpenter's classic ghost story "The Fog". I also briefly talk to myself about a few others including 1988's "The Brain" and 2018's "The Ranger". We're back in full force this week with a slightly new look, new format, and even a fun new intro song! And I pinky promise to never abandon you lovely folks again.
There's some other fun stuff on the horizon so make sure to stay tuned and subscribed wherever you get your podcasts!!! And as always - rate, review, and share!!

It's the very 8th episode of Alone and Afraid! This week join your alone host Chuck as he yammers about the medieval monster movie released earlier this year, "The Headhunter", and deep dives into the fast paced, gore-fest that is "Feast". Also dicussed - why you don't need 100 million dollars to make a good movie, why a little ambiguity in a film is ok, and how little Chuck knows about the movie "Return of the Living Dead". So grab your double barrel, have a shot, and embrace the insanity on this episode of.....Alone and Afraid: Horror Movie Podcast!!!!

It's the very 7th episode of Alone and Afraid!! We've got a LONG one this week as Chuck rambles to himself for an hour and a half (after claiming to want to shorten episodes, that liar) about horror movies, specifically "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark", which was released this past weekend, and the 1997, scifi/horror classic "Event Horizon". The format is changing a bit, as your alone host will be sparing his sanity and reducing his new movie reviews by one, but in its stead, we get a spot of news and thoughts on upcoming releases! Hopefully you dig the changeup on this episode of.....Alone and Afraid!!!

It's the very 6th episode of Alone and Afraid! This week, in honor of shark week, Chuck chit-chats with himself about 2012's "Bait", the film where the premise of "sharks in a grocery store" just wasn't quite enough for the writers...so they added 37 other concepts for good measure and SOMEHOW...it worked! He also reviews 2019's "Headcount" and Netflix's "Soul to Keep", and gets very angry and kinda mean talking about one of them. Anyways, this one's pretty fast paced so try to keep up on this episode of.... Alone and Afraid - Horror Movie Podcast!!

It's the very 5th Episode of Alone and Afraid!! We made it, guys! It's all gravy from here, right? Anyways, we're going in depth on the 2009 Sam Raimi film "Drag Me to Hell", and reviewing 2019's "Body at Brighton Rock" and "Critters Attack!".
Chuck spends a bit too much time swooning over Sam Raimi in this one and suggests that maybe he's somehow smarter than the folks in Hollywood making millions off of remakes and reboots. He also fancies himself a motivational speaker for a few minutes and explains why you don't have to be an asshole to be happy.
Enjoy this 5th installment of the hit horror movie podcast (that all the kids are surely raving about by now, right?)...it's Alone and Afraid!!

It's the very 3rd episode of the horror movie podcast, Alone and Afraid!! Join your alone host Chuck as he talks to himself about the 1986, Stuart Gordon follow up to Re-Animator, "From Beyond". He also yammers on about the 2019 anthology film "Nightmare Cinema" and completely fucks up (multiple times, mind you) Alexandre Aja's last name whilst talking about "Crawl" and insists on calling alligators crocodiles for some reason, which I'm sure will drive most of you insane... 3rd times quite the charm for this episode of..... Alone and Afraid!!
